Ed Sheeran moved 3,047,696 tickets in 52 shows of his The Mathematics Tour this year, putting him at No. 1 on the Top Ticket Sales chart, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. Coldplay sold the second-highest number of tickets this year - 2,260,651. However, the act with the highest-grossing tour is Bad Bunny, who made $373.5 million in the 12 months ending Oct. 31. Ed Sheeran grossed $246.3 million. For the first time ever, the top 10 touring acts, who also included Elton John, Harry Styles, the Weeknd, and the double bill of Def Leppard and Motley Crue, all grossed over $100 million.

Coldplay, Robyn, David Gilmour call for new EU climate law

A group of prominent musicans are among the signers of an open letter calling for the European Union to adopt a new law cracking down on deforestation, as part of its efforts to tackle the climate emergency. Coldplay, Brian Eno, Sting, Robyn, Barbra Streisand, Bryan Adams and David Gilmour, are among the musical signatures, next to veteran climate campaigners, as well as actors, directors and activists. Coldplay's Chris Martin made a lovely show from his home, where he's closed due to coronavirus, in order to lift up everybody's spirits, which he managed to do actually. He made jokes, played several songs - 'Viva la Vida', 'Clocks', 'Yellow', 'Green Eyes', well, parts of them really, and sent messages regarding the virus. He passed on the torch to John Legend to play the next show, which he agreed to do - Tuesday (March 17) at 1pm Pacific time.

The song that Chris Martin calls the most important he wrote in his career, has been remade by the Acapop! KIDS, an American acapella group famous for their covers of famous songs.
