'Game of Thrones' - biggest music moments

Game of Thrones returned for the eight and final season, and Billboard celebrates it with an article about music and musicians in the show. The Hold Steady did a rousing punk “cover” of song 'The Bear and The Maiden Fair' from the show, The National and Sigur Rós have contributed haunting soundtrack versions of song 'The Rains of Castamere', with members of Sigur Rós appearing in the show in the fourth season as minstrels at the Purple Wedding, as well as Coldplay drummer Will Champion who appeared in season 3, episode 9 as - a drummer, Ed Sheeran also had a cameo last season, as a singing Lannister soldier, and two Mastodon members were briefly seen as zombies. NME made a funny article about what musicians think about The Game of Thrones - "It’s absolute fantastical bullshit. To be brought into another world, with dragons and witches and zombies and kings and queens and princesses and wolves… it’s just a dream – the best escape of all time", Warpaint bassist Jenny Lee Lindberg said.
