Weird British music - August selection

Kandodo

There's plenty of it obviously, since the Quietus makes a selection every month, and a big one at that. "Weird" is a relative word here, actually, depending on the listener. Well, there's nothing like Cardi B here, but still it's far away from hard-core avantguarde or hard-to-listen-to music. Take Kandodo - atmospheric and mellow, imagine post post-rock, slightly on the electro side. tQ says Dead Teeth play synth-prog-punk, which they, more or less, do, and Robert Ridley-Shackleton isn't music that much, as it is playing with making music, similar to Posset / Ulyatt playing with a dictaphone and a cello (an experiment, one time listen). Krupps play raw rock music, Mark Wagner plays meditative piano music, with squat techno 'Songs That Changed The World' compilation having an awesome title (obviously)...
