Critics like new Baroness album a lot - one of the best

American hard-rockers Baroness have a new album 'Gold & Grey' out, with a new guitarist, and the one to end the color-themed series. Consequence of Sound says the band finds "themselves in a place of great maturity, exhibiting superb musicianship", NME says it's "super-tight, slick and takes sonic soundscapes to the next level entirely", Exclaim's verdict is - "armed with a fresh sound and well-honed talent, they are finally ready to be recognized as one of the most important bands in modern rock music", and Stereogum chose it for their latest Album Of The Week.
