Trent Reznor inducting the Cure to the Hall of Fame: Hearing it, I felt not so alone in the world

The Cure were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame at an induction ceremony at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on saturday night, and Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor gave an introduction speech about growing up in small-town America and hearing the Cure for the first time: "It was like this music was written just for me. Now I’ve struggled my whole life feeling like I don’t fit or belong anywhere, kind of like right now. Hearing this, I suddenly felt connected and no longer quite so alone in the world" he said, ending with a bold statement - "The Cure are one of the most unique, most brilliant, most heartbreakingly excellent rock bands the world has ever known", Pitchfork reports. It turned out that the band getting into the Hall of Fame draw less attention than Robert Smith blunt response to an excited interviewer, Indy 100 reports.
