U2 are launching their long-rumored Las Vegas residency 'U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At The Sphere' at the high-tech MSG Sphere this fall, Rolling Stone reports. The shows will celebrate their 1991 album 'Achtung Baby' in a multi-show residency, but without drummer Larry Mullen Jr., who will be recuperating from surgery. Bram van den Berg will replace him. U2 said that their "audience was always the fifth member of the band. Bottom line, U2 hasn’t played live since December 2019 and we need to get back on stage and see the faces of our fans again".

Bono "embarrassed" by U2 songs

Bono doesn't like hates the band’s name, and is “embarrassed” by most of their songs, as he's told the Awards Chatter podcast (via CNN). When it comes to band's name “in our head it was like the spy plane, U-boat, it was futuristic — as it turned out to imply this kind of acquiescence, no I don’t like that name. I still don’t really like the name”. The music isn't much better either: “I’ve been in the car when one of our songs has come on the radio and I’ve been the color of, as we say in Dublin, scarlet. I’m just so embarrassed”.

U2 have pledged to donate €10 million for personal protective equipment (PPE) for Irish frontline medics in the fight against coronavirus. “I just don’t think this is the moment for U2 to be doing a sort of Kumbaya thing", Bono said The Irish Times - "It just doesn’t feel right for me – it feels like a time for action rather than words”.

Dr. Dre hasn’t released an album since 2015, haven't been on tour since the turn of the millennium, and his last production credit on a No. 1 hit was in 2009 (Eminem’s 'Crack a Bottle'), but still he managed to climb to the top of Forbes list of highest-earning musician of this decade. He earned […]
