Tekashi 6ix9ine sentenced to two years in prison

American rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, has been sentenced to 24 months in prison with five years supervised release on racketeering and firearms charges, the New York Times reports. He has been charged with conspiracy, attempted murder, conspiracy to distribute heroin, and four firearms-related charge. He could have expected a longer sentence, but the judge Paul Engelmayer took his cooperation with the government into account - "you were wise to cooperate. Your cooperation will result in years more liberty".
