A musical about Michael Jackson in production, as told by his glove!?
Will it end up being a travesty remains to be seen, but the Guardian reports about the new Michael Jackson musical as something quite usual. Playwright Julien Nitzberg wrote it, it's called 'For the Love of a Glove: An Unauthorised Musical Fable About the Life of Michael Jackson, As Told By His Glove', and it takes “a fresh, revisionist look at the strange forces that shaped Jackson and the scandals that bedeviled him”. “It turns out, [the glove] can give people magical musical talent if it drinks their blood and has part of their body inside of it,” Nitzberg told The Hollywood Reporter - “But it can only feed on virgin boy blood”. So the glove would be the narrator, right?! The musical opens January 25 at the Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan theatre in Los Angeles. In other Jackson-ography news, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' producer Graham King had acquired the rights to make a film about Jackson, which is said to span his life from child star to death.
