"I think that drumming as songwriting is very important - more than any sort of technical proficiency, to have it be as melodic or musical as all the other instruments" - Dave Grohl says in a Rolling Stone interview with Ringo Starr about drumming as songwriting. And then there's this Starr's song - "I think I got to the kids early with that song, because around about two, two and a half, they all start: 'Yellow submarine'. And all of my grandchildren have stood behind the chair I’m sitting in, at one moment in their lives, and they’re going, 'We all live in a yellow submarine'. Like, 'We know who you are, Granddad'".
