Bruce Springsteen and Kanye West earn a million each in cinemas

Bruce Springsteen documentary 'Western Stars' earned $560,000 from 537 theaters over the weekend in the US, and combined with grosses from preview sneaks, his directorial debut has earned $1 million. 'Western Stars' shows Springsteen performing all 13 songs on his first studio album in five years, archival footage, personal narration, and guest appearances, and is set in his historic barn. This weekend Kanye West's experimental, 30-minute film 'Jesus Is King' debuted in cinemas, in 440 Imax locations around the globe, earning $1 million, the Hollywood Reporter reports. Of that, $862,000 came from 372 sites in the U.S. Watch both trailers below.
