Mike Patton & Jean-Claude Vannier's collaborative album 'Corpse Flower' - "a very strong case for working together alone"

"Mike Patton and Jean-Claude Vannier have made an album enjoying a long distance bromance... They seem to have come from across the decades, and from different musical cultures and milieu", the Quietus says about 'Corpse Flower', collaborative album by Faith No More's Mike Patton and French composer Jean-Claude Vannier. But, stil, it's "a production of some magnitude, featuring a band (under Patton’s direction in L.A.) and an orchestra (directed by Vannier in Paris). It’s a big, sonorous, unearthly offering, and it’s difficult to imagine it being created separately by two men, with cut and paste and some incredibly deft stitching".
