Lana Del Rey: It’s no coincidence that it’s raining fire everywhere

"I grew up with Obama and we were happy in New York. We were really, really happy with everything. That’s what I think people miss. We had gotten to a point where we could focus on the music and the arts. It was great” - Lana Del Rey says in an NME interview. Then came Trump - “the President is a reflection of the culture, the culture is a reflection of our relationship with ourselves and, of course, nature is our great reflector and equaliser”, and then she wrote her new album 'Norman Fucking Rockwell', named after American illustrator and author who chronicled American culture in his work. So where is America now? - "Everyone’s just really nervous about taking the family to the next parade. It sounds cliché, but it’s not a joke. Maybe that’s a bit metaphorical but it’s probably no coincidence that it’s raining fire everywhere".
