BV and NME choose best new songs of the week

NME really likes "blistering guitar riffs and yelping vocals" of political dance-punk by The 1975 in 'People', as well as "sunshine-laced instrumentals" with "dark lyrics" by Bakar in 'Hell 'N Back', and "fearless guitars and galloping rhythms" by Los Blancos in 'Dilyn Lesu Grist'. Brooklyn Vegan makes a broader choice, as usual. They've got "cold and dark and modern" Kanye West's production for Pusha T in 'Sociopath', a queer Indigenous prom by Black Belt Eagle Scout, new song 'Try' by soul singer Madison McFerrin, "spastic mathcore to gorgeous post-metal" by SeeYouSpaceCowboy in 'Put on a Show, Don't Let Them See You Fall', and 'After Images' by avant-garde rapper Moor Mother.
