Hanne Hukkelberg on her new album 'Birthmark': I have more power to be who I am

"I don't think I respected older people; if they didn't say anything I just thought they were boring. Now that I'm a 40-year-old, I'm not saying anything because I have so many experiences that make me quiet, there are certain reasons that make me not talk" - interesting thing to say for somebody who makes their emotions public. All Music talked to Norwegian experimental pop musician Hanne Hukkelberg (for those who don't know her, imagine Billie Eilish, only 20-ish years older) about her new album 'Birthmark' where she compares her older and younger self: "When I was younger, I didn't dare to be myself, and now I acknowledge that I am more than I thought I was. It's a nice process, to let myself give all that up".
