Critics heard new Tool album, so, is it any good?
"The band’s most substantial and multidimensional offering to date... More of a career-encompassing opus than just the next album in their discography" - Metal Injection said, after hearing the album once. "A winding path through sounds mysterious and confrontational, uplifting and filled with darkness. Its 85 minutes unfurl like a brutal symphony in 7/4 time, mastering both the organic and the industrial, completely controlled but still capable of chaos" - Revolver is much broader. Surprisingly, the one who liked it the most, for now, is NME: "Languid, blissful work, featuring perhaps the best collection of vocals that singer Keenan has ever committed to tape... Tool album for which the people who made it have relied on their hearts more than their heads". All the critics say they need more listens to give their final verdict.
