British rapper Konan on treating gangs like terror suspects: Banning drill takes hope away

British detectives will be given powers to pursue gangsters who glorify knife and gun violence and stoke tensions through videos posted on social media, targeting them in the same way as terrorists who call for attacks online. Rapper Konan of the duo Krept & Konan wrote an article for the Guardian about how freedom of expression "is important, particularly for a deprived and otherwise voiceless community. If you take that away, you not only take away our voices, but you take away any hope of positivity and change".
