Watch Johnny Depp sing David Bowie's 'Heroes'
Johnny Depp recorded a cover of one of David Bowie’s biggest hits, 'Heroes', together with his bandmates in the supergroup Hollywood Vampires which includes Alice Cooper and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry. They recorded it last year at Berlin’s Hansa Studios, in the same place Bowie recorded it in summer of '77, Blabbermouth reports. Video includes studio and live recordings of the band. Watch it below. According to legend, the lyrics to 'Heroes' were inspired by Bowie seeing producer Tony Visconti and backup singer Antonia Maaß, his then lover, kissing by the Berlin wall - “I thought, of all the places to meet in Berlin, why pick a bench underneath a guard turret on the Wall?", Bowie later said. In other Bowie news, NME reports that 'American Gods author' Neil Gaiman and 'Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse' director Peter Ramsey have expressed interest in making a movie about famous musician. His son Duncan Jones said he would only approve of a film about his dad if Gaiman and Ramsey were involved.
