Elton John: Studios wanted less sex and drugs in 'Rocketman'
Share
Elton John wrote a lovely article for the Observer, about his childhood, parents, bringing up, his own family, and how he doesn't really like seeing himself on the screen. He describes how the movie producers wanted a watered-down version of his life - "Some studios wanted to tone down the sex and drugs so the film would get a PG-13 rating. But I just haven’t led a PG-13 rated life", and others just didn't get the essence of his life - "Some studios wanted us to lose the fantasy element and make a more straightforward biopic, but that was missing the point". A great read...
