Moscow police detain Pussy Riot member Veronika Nikulshina

Veronika Nikulshina of the Russian art activists Pussy Riot has been taken into police custody in Moscow. Police told Nikulshina she was being arrested because “a group of young people have damaged a piece of government property”, but the group described it as “yet another absurd claim by the police without any official accusations filed”, Pitchfork reports. Nikulshina was also arrested a month ago, prior to a theatre award ceremony, and less then a year ago during the 2018 World Cup finals in Moscow.
