Bruce Hornsby: The sweet spot where experimental meets accessible
Share
Guardian picked out Bruce Hornsby of an example how to age well, especially coming from pop milieu. Hornsby started out as the "guy who wrote 'The Way It Is'", and now he's somewhere in between experimental and easy. “I’m in search of the chills. That leads me very far afield, ranging from old-time traditional music, folk music, bluegrass, country, shape note singing, gospel music, the black tradition in church music, to the most astringent, acrid, dodecaphonic modern classical music" he says in
Guardian interview. He has a new album out 'Absolute Zero', it has a score of 80 on Metacritic . Listen to the song 'Cast-Off', featuring Bon Iver, here.
