Super-producers Nico Segal and Nate Fox have a debut album out

“It sounds like us making music in 2019. And yes, we’re influenced by everything from Prince and Joni Mitchell to Biggie Smalls and 2Pac" producer Nico Segal says in interview with Stereogum, speaking about Intellexual, his project with Nate Fox. Segal, signed as Donnie Trumpet, has produced and played for the likes of Kanye West, Ed Sheeran, J. Cole, and Neil Young, while Fox’s resume includes DRAM, Kehlani, Big Sean and Lil Wayne. As the Social Experiment, the duo toured the world with Chance the Rapper and released an exceptional album 'Surf'. Intellexual is more a singer-songwriter project, the self-titled album came out last week and this is the first time Segal and Fox are letting their voices be heard. The whole idea of album it to "talk about love and relationships, as a whole, in more of a, for lack of a better word, intellectual way,” Segal explains in an interview with the Billboard.
