The annual party Bang Face Weekender, held last weekend and featuring 5,000 people in a Pontins camp in Southport, Merseyside, has grown to become one the most vibrant and passionate subcultural events in the UK since its inception in 2003. You won’t get away with wearing a drab black techno wardrobe: punters, who are known as Hard Crew, dress as elaborate robots, or the splitting head disguise from Total Recall, or even as the Pontins itself.
