R Kelly back in jail because of 161,000 dollars in unpaid child support

Embattled US R&B singer R. Kelly has been taken into custody for failing to pay child support to his ex-wife Drea Kelly, for their three children. A judge in Chicago said he would be held until he paid $161,000 (£122,000) owed to his ex-wife and their children. The singer showed up to the hearing with between $50,000 ans $60,000 but the judge wanted the amount paid in full. “As you know, he hasn’t worked in a long time,” Kelly’s publicist, Darryll Johnson said. (Kelly has toured for years amid the allegations.) Asked how Kelly can then maintain residence in the Trump Tower, Johnson said Kelly “has some money,” but also said he does not know where Kelly can come up with this new bail. Hours before he was to go to court, CBS aired and interview with R Kelly who said the allegations that he has sexually, emotionally, and physically abused women and girls for decades are “stupid”, “not true”, and “not fair”.
