Slayer Kick Off Farewell Tour: Thank You For Everything

Thrash-metal titans Slayer kicked of their farewell tour at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California, with support from Lamb Of God, Anthrax, Behemoth and Testament.  "If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be here. I wanted to thank you for everything," Tom Araya told San Diego moshpitting crowd (Loudwire).

On the European leg of their tour Slayer will have Lamb Of God, Anthrax and Obituary as suppoert. The run kicks off on Nov. 1 in Ireland and will come to and will finish up on Dec. 8 in Finland (Guitar World).

Loudwire is paying tribute to Slayer - here they write how Slayer were asked to make a radio hit, back at he beginning of 1990s, when Metallica broke with their 'Black Album'.
